Job Advertisement: HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver

Location: Birdwell, Barnsley S70
Salary: £42'000 per year paid weekly
Hours: Full-time, must be able to do 2 minimum nights out - expenses paid
Contract Type: Permanent

About Us:

We are a well-established and growing transport company specializing in road haulage. With a strong commitment to delivering excellence, safety, and reliability, we are currently looking to expand our team and are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 1 Tipper vehicle.
  • Transport materials such as sand, gravel, aggregates, or waste to and from various sites.
  • Ensure loads are securely and properly loaded, unloaded, and covered (where applicable).
  • Conduct pre-start vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including timesheets and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service when interacting with clients and site personnel.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • 2 years HGV Class 1 Driving experience
  • Over the ages of 27
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • A valid Driver’s Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience with tipper trucks and operating them safely.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport laws.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of load securing and site-specific safety protocols.
  • A positive, reliable, and professional attitude. flexible.
