About us

We are a successful independent 99 place nursery in the heart of Higham Ferrers, judged Outstanding by Ofsted. Established in 2008, we have always aimed to encourage and support everyone to “be the best they can be”, and this applies to both the children and staff. We offer in-house training and external CPD opportunities. We are a close-knit team that are committed to being nurturing, positive, inclusive, respectful and to always act with integrity.

We are seeking a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our enthusiastic team as our numbers are increasing. The ideal applicant will be passionate about working with children in the early years and love to help children to explore our world with a sense of awe and wonder.

Special Skills Required:

  • A welcoming and positive attitude that makes everyone feel comfortable and safe
  • A strong connection with your inner child
  • Flexibility and adaptability - no two days in a nursery are ever the same!
  • L3 paediatric first aid preferred (although training can be provided)

Main responsibilities include:

  • To work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting.
  • Provide inspiring invitations to play and challenging learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of the children in line with our curriculum.
  • To be a key person to an allocated number of children and their families and develop strong, supportive and trusting relationships.
  • To work with the team to deliver and meet the requirements of the EYFS for all children.

Pay: Competitive and unique to individual's age, experiences and qualifications.

Hours: 38 paid hours/week. A job share of 2 part time positions will be considered. Shifts will fall between the hours of 7:30 and 18:15. Staff are expected to attend additional staff meetings every 8 weeks and 3-4 stay and play sessions throughout the year.

Holiday: 4 weeks paid holiday allowance plus bank holidays. The nursery is not open between Christmas and New Year.
