Hiring multiple candidates

Early Learning and Childcare Apprenticeship

Are you aged 16–19 and passionate about working with children? This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in Early Learning and Childcare through a fully funded Modern Apprenticeship supported by Skills Development Scotland.

We are hiring multiple apprentices to join our dedicated team. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification — with all training costs fully covered.

About the Role

As an Early Learning and Childcare Apprentice, you will:

  • Support experienced practitioners in planning and delivering fun, engaging activities.
  • Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence and development.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/carers.
  • Develop your skills through structured training and on-the-job learning.

This role combines practical experience with formal study, allowing you to earn while you learn.

Qualification & Training

After a successful settling-in period, you will undertake:

  • Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7

This nationally recognised qualification supports your progression to becoming a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in working with children.
  • A positive, caring and patient attitude.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to completing your qualification.

No previous experience is required — just motivation and passion for childcare.

What We Offer

  • Fully funded Modern Apprenticeship programme.
  • Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced staff.
  • Regular salary while training (£8.00 per hour).
  • Clear progression pathway to a qualified Early Years Practitioner role.
  • Opportunities for long-term career development.
  • Supportive and friendly team environment.

Upon successful completion of your qualification, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and continue progressing within the early years sector.

If you’re ready to take your first step into a rewarding career where you can truly make a difference in children’s lives, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and begin your journey in Early Learning and Childcare!
