Bay6, our Supported Accommodation Service for 16 – 24 year olds based in Leyland, Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our passionate team. Are you committed to making a difference to the lives of young people? Are you up for a new opportunity and challenge?

The service is made up of 3 buildings across 2 sites:
Bay6 - 6 bedrooms with communal areas including staff offices
Haddon Lodge - 5 one bedroom flats
Belgrave Court - 6 one bedroom flats
Shift pattern
This is a 24 hour post to work across 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 10pm including weekends, you will be on a rota system and this can be flexible over the week
Objectives of Service:
Bay6 provides a safe environment to offer holistic approach to young people to enable them to gain and develop the skills needed to live independently through one to one support and group work. Support Workers work alongside the young people to assess their needs and goals and develop individual plans to ensure we are working together towards positive outcomes.
Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
  • To offer one to one support to young people within the service
  • To ensure health & safety routines are carried out within the building.
  • To adhere to the OFSTED standards for supported Housing
  • To safeguard the young people within the service.
  • To record in line with Barnardo's recording policy.
  • To ensure young people adhere to the House Code
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working with Young People and/or vulnerable adults.
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding
  • IT literate with the ability to accurately record information.
