About the role:

As an apprentice you will be a member of the technical IT team and help with 1st line IT support for customers as well as learning about the products and services Park’s Motor Group provide. It is a busy role that will require attention to detail but is important to the success of the whole team. The existing IT team will also be available to provide you with support and guidance as you learn your role and become more confident.

This will be a 1-year apprenticeship where the successful applicant will work towards a diploma with QA, receiving support and mentoring throughout the placement.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and log IT support calls from users.

  • Provide 1st line support to our users.

  • Provide excellent customer service both verbal and written to end users.

  • Keep users up to date on progress of their calls.

  • Problem solve issues based on the information you have been given.

  • Resolve IT queries efficiently, accurately and record information.

  • Involvement in configuration and installation of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, switches etc.)

  • Work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

You will work with a range of technologies including:

  • On-premises Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

  • Security platforms such as CrowdStrike.

  • NinjaOne RMM, Ninja MDM and Cisco Meraki.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm or 9am – 6pm. After successful completion of the apprenticeship, the shift rotation will include 7am – 4pm and an infrequent Saturday 8am – 12pm.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
