Full job description

Working as a No 2 to the chef/owner in a team of 4-6 you will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the chef. We are a two rosette restaurant where everything (including bread, ice cream and pastry) is made from scratch using fresh ingredients. You should be able to handle running a busy sauce section on your own catering for up to 60 covers. We would expect rosetted kitchen experience and a stable track record of employment in quality restaurants. This is not a job for a cowboy operator or job hopper. Salary will be reviewed regularly and we look to pay the right salary for the right individual. Typically you will work 42-45hours each week with weekends and evenings expected. The hours will normally be split over 7 services each week. We are closed every Monday and Tuesday Tips are split equally between all staff. The owners do not take a cut of tips.
