Midweight 3D Designer / 2D Artworker — Retail & Experiential

Battersea / Hybrid — Circa £45,000 + Benefits

We’re looking for a versatile Midweight Designer who can combine spatial and 3D design with accurate, production-ready 2D artwork.

You’ll join an independent design and production studio creating retail environments, pop-ups, exhibitions and brand activations for major global brands across the UK and internationally.

This role would suit someone who enjoys developing creative ideas for physical spaces and taking the graphic elements through to finished artwork. Your portfolio should demonstrate both design thinking and the attention to detail needed to prepare work for production.

The role

Working closely with Directors, Producers and Production Managers, you’ll help turn briefs into considered, buildable brand environments. Alongside concept development and 3D visualisation, you’ll create and adapt graphics for signage, displays and other physical applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing concepts and spatial designs for retail, pop-ups, exhibitions and experiential projects.
• Creating 3D visuals, layouts, material boards and client presentations.
• Designing graphics that work coherently within physical environments.
• Preparing production-ready artwork for large-format graphics, signage, retail POS and branded installations.
• Adapting designs across formats, dimensions and supplied templates.
• Checking artwork for accuracy, consistency, resolution, bleed and relevant supplier specifications.
• Working with production teams and suppliers to resolve design and artwork requirements.
• Maintaining clear file organisation and version control across multiple projects.
• Balancing creative quality with budgets, deadlines and practical production constraints.

What we’re looking for

• Around three or more years’ relevant experience in retail, experiential, exhibition or brand-environment design.
• A portfolio showing strong spatial or 3D design alongside polished 2D graphics and finished artwork.
• Confidence using relevant 3D design and visualisation software.
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Practical experience preparing artwork for print and physical production.
• An understanding of scale, materials, finishes and how designs translate into built environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication.
• A collaborative approach and confidence managing your own workload.

Experience working with fabricators, print suppliers and installation teams would be valuable. Please make your personal contribution to portfolio projects clear.
