3D Modeller / Texture Artist

Location: Knowsley, Liverpool (On-site, not hybrid) Level: Mid-Weight Reports to: Head of Post-Production Salary: £28,000–£38,000 DOE Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Our agency partner is an award-winning independent creative agency with over 15 years of experience delivering standout work across sport, FMCG, tourism and fashion. They're looking for a talented 3D Modeller / Texture Artist to join their growing creative team and help bring products, objects and creative concepts to life in stunning photoreal detail.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the craft of 3D. From building highly accurate models to creating textures and materials that make an object feel completely believable, you'll play a key role in producing premium visual content for a wide range of exciting brands.

Working closely with the Head of Post-Production and wider creative team, you'll take ideas and references and turn them into beautifully crafted 3D assets. You'll need a strong eye for shape, proportion, materials, lighting and detail, alongside the technical ability to create work that looks as convincing as the real thing.

IMPORTANT: This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic agency environment. You'll be managing multiple projects, working to tight deadlines and collaborating across a busy creative team. If you like it calm and predictable, this probably isn't the role for you.

What You'll Be Doing

3D Modelling & Product Creation

✔ Creating high-quality, photorealistic 3D models of products, objects and environments

✔ Building accurate models with exceptional attention to shape, scale, proportion and detail

✔ Taking projects from initial references and creative concepts through to finished 3D assets

✔ Creating models suitable for use across campaigns, advertising, digital content and wider creative projects

✔ Ensuring all assets are technically sound, visually accurate and ready for use within the wider production pipeline

Texturing & Materials

✔ Creating realistic textures, materials and surface details that bring 3D models to life

✔ Using tools such as Substance 3D and other texturing software to achieve highly realistic results

✔ Developing materials that accurately reflect real-world surfaces, finishes and product details

✔ Working closely with the wider creative and post-production team to ensure assets meet the required visual style and creative direction

✔ Refining and polishing assets to achieve the highest possible level of realism and quality

Collaboration & Project Delivery

✔ Working closely with the Head of Post-Production, creatives, designers and production teams to bring ideas to life

✔ Managing multiple projects and priorities whilst delivering to tight deadlines

✔ Taking ownership of your work and ensuring every asset is thoroughly checked before final delivery

✔ Adapting quickly to different creative briefs, products and visual styles

✔ Contributing fresh ideas, techniques and approaches to help push the agency's 3D capabilities forward

What You'll Bring to the Table

✔ Proven experience creating photorealistic 3D products, objects and assets

✔ A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality modelling, texturing and realistic material creation

✔ Strong experience using one or more 3D modelling tools such as Rhino, KeyShot, AutoCAD or 3ds Max

✔ Experience using Substance 3D or similar tools for texturing and material creation

✔ A strong understanding of modelling techniques, topology, materials, texture mapping and photorealistic workflows

✔ An excellent eye for detail, proportion, surfaces and real-world accuracy

✔ The ability to interpret references and creative direction and translate them into high-quality 3D assets

✔ Strong graphic design or illustration skills would be a major advantage

✔ A creative mindset combined with excellent technical problem-solving skills

✔ The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment

✔ A proactive, curious approach with a genuine desire to continually develop your skills and explore new creative techniques

About You

✔ You obsess over the details that make a 3D object feel believable

✔ You can look at a real-world product and understand how to recreate it digitally

✔ You care as much about the finish, texture and material as you do the model itself

✔ You enjoy the balance between technical precision and creative craft

✔ You're happy working independently but enjoy collaborating with designers, creatives and post-production specialists

✔ You're curious, adaptable and always interested in learning new tools and techniques
