Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Pre-Saeles Estimator/Designer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will assist with Audio Visual pre-sales estimating and design, whilst actively working on the production of Costsheets, Proposals and any relevant drawings.

Responsibilities

1. Site Surveys with Sales Account Managers to define client Project requirements.

2. Specification and Design of Audio Visual Systems.

3. Creation of Project Costsheets/Bills of Materials.

4. Creation/Analysis of Labour/Services/Preliminaries costs.

5. Production of System Proposals, inclusive of System Scope of Works.

6. Work alongside the sales team to assist in producing accurate bills of material on RFP's, RFQ's, Tender Responses as well as Design & Build projects.

7. Provide Pre-Sales Demonstrations and Proof of Concepts, as and when required.

8. Provide Won Sales Handovers, inclusive of pre-sales Documentation to Project Delivery Team.

9. Monitoring industry product trends, changes and integration challenges as they develop.

10. Production of AV System Schematics, AV Positional Layout Drawings, block drawings, Rack Layout Drawings in Autocad, Dtools, Visio or similar.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of experience in a similar role
  • A recognised AutoCAD, Visio or similar design qualification
  • Strong understanding of AV Technologies, Teams/Zoom Integration, BYOD, AV over IP, Crestron/AMX Control Systems, ICT infrastructure and IP networks
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with people across different roles
  • Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software applications
  • Previous 3D and BIM modelling experience
  • Prior experience in any of the following:- AV
  • System Design/AV Installation
  • Preferred one or more of the following qualifications:- Infocomm CTS-D Qualification, Crestron DMC-D-4K Certification, AMX ACE-D Certification, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
