Full job description

Bristol · Flexible (min. 4 shifts a week) · Weekly pay · Paid training

Employment status: Self-employed contractor

Looking for a role that's sociable, rewarding and gets you out from behind a desk?

If you enjoy meeting new people, love working outdoors and want a role where your effort directly impacts what you earn, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Freddie's Flowers delivers fresh, seasonal flowers to people's doors, and we're looking for a few more people in Bristol to help spread the word.

You'll be out on a branded e-bike, riding around the city, stopping people for a chat and telling them about the subscription. It's not a desk job — there's no script, and no two days look quite the same.

Some conversations turn into customers, plenty won't. That's normal in sales, and we'll help you get better at it over time.

No previous sales experience needed. You'll get six paid days of training before you start, plus ongoing coaching from the team.

What you'll actually be doing

  • Approaching people and starting conversations
  • Explaining what Freddie's Flowers is and why people like it
  • Signing people up when they're interested
  • Getting around Bristol on your e-bike
  • Working alongside the rest of the Bristol team

Pay

You're paid weekly, and it's commission-based with no cap on what you can earn. The sky is the limit!

  • How it works: You are paid up to £70 per confirmed sign-up
  • What people typically earn: 6 sales a shift averages out at £210 or £840 per week
  • First 12 weeks: hit three sales in a shift and you'll unlock a day rate so you're not relying purely on commission while you're still learning.

Where it can lead

Everyone starts on the Bristol street team. As you build confidence and results, there's room to move into bigger events, pop-ups and brand activations across the South West — things like:

  • RHS Badminton Summer Fayre
  • Royal Welsh Show
  • Great British Food Festival
  • Other festivals and food events through the year

Who tends to do well in this role

  • Comfortable approaching people they don't know
  • Not put off by rejection
  • Prefers being outdoors over sitting at a desk
  • Motivated by hitting targets
  • Confident riding an e-bike
  • Can commit to at least four shifts a week

No sales background required — we'll teach you the rest.

Why people love this job

It suits students, actors, graduates and anyone after flexible work that fits around other commitments. Most people who stick with it say it made them noticeably more confident talking to people, which tends to carry over into other areas of life and work as well as huge earning potential!

Hiring process

  • Video call via Google Meet
  • In-person interview at our Bristol office
  • Six days of paid training

Before you apply

  • You're 18 or over
  • You have the right to work in the UK
  • You're genuinely up for face-to-face sales
  • You can commit to at least four shifts a week
  • You're confident riding an e-bike

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £120.00-£600.00 per day

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Referral programme

Application question(s):

  • Which skills or qualities would help you succeed as a Freddie’s Flowers face-to-face sales ambassador? (No AI please, we want to hear from you!)
  • You need to be over 18 years of age to sell a subscription, are you aged 18 or above?
  • Training for this intake runs 15th–17th July, and we need full availability across all three days. Can you commit to these dates? (Yes / No)

If not, that's completely fine, there'll be another opportunity soon.

  • Are you confident riding an e-bike around Bristol between locations? (Yes / No)
  • Are you comfortable working in a target-driven, commission-based role? (Yes / No)
  • Are you able to commit to at least three-four shifts per week (Wednesday-Sunday)
  • Our in-person second-stage interview is on Friday 10th July at 10:30am, at our Bristol office. Can you attend? (Yes / No)

If not, let us know — we run interviews regularly so there may be another date that works.

  • United Kingdom (required)
