GPM Group Ltd are a fire door manufacturer based in Belvedere, Kent. We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and be adept at operating various machinery. This role involves working with precision tools to manufacture and assemble components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Spindle Machine, 4 side moulder cross saw, tenoner, dovetailer etc
  • Ability to read basic factory paperwork to understand project requirements.
  • Ensure quality standards through rigorous inspection.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.

Skills

  • Ability to operate Spindle Machine, 4 side moulder, cross saw, tenoner, dovetailer etc. (minimum 2 year experience)
  • Proficient in reading basic factory paperwork.
  • Strong understanding of tooling used in machining processes.
  • Familiarity with wood machining.
  • Carpentry and wood working experienced.
  • Basic mathematics skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to work with both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

A SKILLS TEST WILL BE REQUIRED

£16 - £19 per hour - Depending on experience.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday

6am - 2.45pm

Immediate Start

Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
