About us

This an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to improving the treatment of steatotic liver disease (fatty liver disease, SLD). We have recently been awarded MRC funding to conduct an ambitious project to improve the treatment of SLD (Steatotic LIver Disease: Machine Learning and Multi-Omics for Nutrition Education and Precision Therapy; SLIM-NET).

About the role

Thisrole will be focussed on conducting liver fibrosis assays on serum samples, toallow the proposed machine learning analyses to proceed. Therefore, themajority of this role will be conducting high-throughput assays. However, therewill be scope to pursue individual research interests. This role is not suitable for UCL sponsorship and available for 3 months.

About you

You will bemotivated and driven to pursue a career in scientific research, with a focus ongastrointestinal, liver or cardiometabolic disease. You will have broadlaboratory experience, including experience in high throughput laboratories(e.g. biobanking). You will be self-starter, and able to solve problems andapply initiative. Ideally, you will have experience with high-throughputanalysers (e.g Siemens BNII).
