A genuine ownership opportunity - not just a chef job
We are an established Pakistani catering business looking for an exceptional production chef who wants more than a wage. This is a rare chance to step into a senior role with a real path to part-ownership of the business, through earned (sweat) equity or a gradual share purchase. The full structure is straightforward and we will explain it at interview. If you are ambitious, hard-working and want to build something you own a piece of, read on.
This is a hands-on, high-energy, physically demanding role in a fast-paced, high-volume production kitchen. It will suit someone who thrives under pressure, takes full ownership of the operation, and wants to grow with the business.
What you will be doing:
Running Pakistani-style production / takeaway-style cooking at volume for catering and events (this is production cooking, not a la carte restaurant work). Preparing, cooking and finishing dishes to a consistently high standard. Managing stock control - ordering, storing, rotating and minimising waste. Taking and managing customer orders, including via mobile phone and apps. Driving to events, suppliers and sites - loading, transporting and setting up. Keeping the operation organised, clean and fully compliant with food hygiene standards. Owning the day-to-day running of the kitchen and taking real responsibility for results.
Essential requirements:
Proven Pakistani-style production / takeaway cooking experience - able to produce this food at volume, fast, without supervision. A genuine driver and self-starter - organised, reliable and takes initiative. Strong stock control skills and confident using a mobile phone and apps for orders and admin. Full UK driving licence (you will be insured to drive for the business). Fluent Urdu - essential, as it is the working language of the kitchen, our suppliers and the food we produce. Working English - essential for food hygiene, paperwork, labelling and health and safety compliance. Comfortable with the physical, fast-paced demands of high-volume catering production.
Desirable:
Punjabi and/or Pashto an advantage. Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or 3). Experience catering for weddings and large events.
The partnership / ownership package:
The headline package reflects that this is a partner-track role. Depending on what suits you, the route to ownership can be through earned (sweat) equity - building your stake through the work and results you deliver - or by gradually purchasing shares to become a shareholder. There is also a rent/contribution element tied to your stake. It is simpler than it sounds, it is fair, and we will explain exactly how it works at interview. Serious, committed candidates only.
