Zorba The Greek Derby is seeking a highly experienced, professional and passionate Senior Waiter / Waitress to join our front-of-house team.

We are looking for someone who truly understands the art of hospitality and takes pride in delivering exceptional table service.

This is a hands-on restaurant service position, not an office-based or management role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, professional and attentive table service.
• Welcome guests warmly and create a memorable dining experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and confidently.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of menus, wines and beverages.
• Recommend dishes, wines and additional items to enhance the guest experience.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy service periods.
• Anticipate guests' needs without being intrusive.
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Support and guide less experienced waiting staff when required.
• Maintain excellent presentation and restaurant service standards
• Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a quality full-service restaurant preferred.
• Strong experience in à la carte table service.
• Excellent spoken English and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of food, wine and professional restaurant etiquette.
• Friendly, confident and customer-focused personality.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.

Pay: £13.71-£16.71 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 37.5 per week
