Job Overview
- Join our dynamic team as a CLASS 2 Vehicle Recovery Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient recovery of vehicles across various situations. This energetic position involves operating recovery equipment, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining safety standards. Duties
- Operate flatbed trucks and specialized recovery equipment to safely retrieve and transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns, or storage facilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of recovered vehicles to assess damage and determine appropriate recovery methods
- Communicate clearly with customers, dispatch teams, and emergency responders to coordinate recovery efforts effectively
- Ensure all recovery operations comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain detailed logs of recoveries, vehicle conditions, and operational activities for reporting purposes
- Assist with warehouse or storage tasks related to recovered vehicles when necessary
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with recovery equipment or vehicles during operations
- Carry out diagnostics to ascertain the vehicle fault
Requirements
- Valid commercial CLASS 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in driving large vehicles such as vans or flatbed trucks in various conditions
- Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and perform basic troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to vehicle recovery and roadside assistance
