Full job description

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic team of receptionists. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, loves animals, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment within our busy veterinary practice.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing position where you will be responsible for:

  • Greeting clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering telephone enquiries and booking appointments
  • Providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
  • Managing administrative tasks using our computer system
  • Keeping work areas clean and tidy
  • Supporting the wider veterinary team with day-to-day practice operations

Full training will be provided on our in-house system, but good computer skills and a calm, organised approach are essential.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Confident speaking with clients both in person and over the phone
  • Able to stay calm and work methodically in a busy environment
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Comfortable around animals (some light animal handling may occasionally be required following training)

Location

The role will involve working across our two practice locations in Stamford and Deeping St James, so the ability to travel between the two sites is essential.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position, approx 38-40hrs per week (split between both sites)

  • Monday-Friday
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis

Salary dependent on experience
