Transport Manager – Highbridge

Abatec is recruiting for a Transport Manager to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based in Highbridge.

Our client is a long-established transport and distribution business, providing reliable nationwide logistics services across multiple sectors. Permanent Role

£35,000 - £45,000

Key Duties:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the transport department.
• Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Operator Licence, and transport legislation.
• Lead, motivate, and support drivers and transport office staff.
• Plan and optimise vehicle routes and resource allocation.
• Monitor fleet utilisation, driver performance, and transport KPIs.
• Oversee driver hours, tachograph compliance, and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules with the workshop to maximise fleet availability.
• Ensure high levels of customer service through efficient and timely deliveries.
• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
