Overview
Here at Availl Healthcare, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes or care homes whilst delivering the highest quality of care. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, a willingness to learn and develop your skills, follow care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently. We look for a proactive person who can use own decision making skills, have a can do attitude and strong work ethic.
We have Night carer, Day carer (short and long visits) and Live-in carer roles available!
We do not offer Sponsorship.
We are available to contact Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately using IT systems as needed.
Requirements
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- A valid driving license is desirable but not essential.
- Competence in using IT systems for documentation purposes.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service
