Experienced Chef – Italian Cuisine | Venerdi Italian Restaurant | Hackney

Join our team at Venerdi Italian Restaurant, a vibrant Italian restaurant in the heart of Hackney.

We are looking for a fully trained and experienced Chef with a passion for authentic Italian food to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience preparing and cooking fresh pasta dishes, authentic pizzas, and mains from the grill, while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (including tronc)
Location: Hackney, London

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes from our menu, including pasta, pizza, and grilled mains
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards
  • Support kitchen preparation, stock rotation, and waste control
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and efficient service

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Experience working with pizza ovens, fresh pasta, and grill section
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality dishes
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent food
