From our bustling brunch service to our creative take on pizzas, bold small plates and exciting dining events, we’re constantly evolving our offering to give guests new reasons to return.

We're looking for an exceptional Assistant Manager to work alongside our General Manager and help lead our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, thrives on developing people, and is passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

As Assistant Manager, you'll be the General Manager's right hand. You'll be the eyes and ears of the business, helping to maintain the high standards Moody's is known for and ensuring everything runs seamlessly, even when the General Manager isn't on site.

Your role:

  • Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the business
  • Leading, motivating, coaching and developing the team to deliver exceptional service
  • Managing staff performance, carrying out training and helping team members reach their full potential
  • Creating and managing staff rotas to ensure efficient labour scheduling
  • Ordering stock and supplies, carrying out regular stock checks and helping minimise waste
  • Ensuring the venue is well organised, fully stocked and operating efficiently at all times
  • Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the business in the absence of the General Manager
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring every guest has the best possible experience from the moment they walk through the door
  • Proactively spotting issues before they become problems and confidently turning challenges into solutions
  • Leading by example on the floor during busy services and supporting the team wherever needed
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, food safety and presentation throughout the venue
  • Representing the General Manager, owners and the Moody's brand professionally at all times

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous hospitality management or supervisory experience
  • Is passionate about leading, motivating and managing people and knows how to build a happy, high-performing team
  • Is confident managing shifts and making decisions independently
  • Has excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Is an exceptional communicator with natural leadership qualities
  • Is a confident problem solver who can stay calm under pressure and always find practical solutions
  • Takes genuine pride in creating unforgettable guest experiences
  • Has excellent attention to detail and high personal standards
  • Is proactive, reliable and takes ownership of their role
  • Is flexible and happy to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends

What we offer

  • £14.50 per hour
  • 30+ hours per week
  • Staff discount
  • Opportunities for development and progression within a growing independent business
  • A supportive management team that values initiative, ideas and continuous improvement

If you're passionate about hospitality, love leading people and want to play a key role in the success of an independent business that genuinely cares about its guests, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: From £14.50 per hour
