SEN Support Assistant

Job description
Greengates Primary Academy are looking to appoint two SEN Support Assistants to join our academy in September 2026 on a temporary, part time basis for one year.

Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.

Your new role

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will provide one to one personal support for pupils with additional needs who are in receipt of an Education Health Care Plan. You will provide special educational and/or
medical support to ensure their successful engagement with and access to learning. You will need to maintain professional records and appropriate notes in relation to the individual pupil.

Please see the job description on our website for the essential criteria and more information.

If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience required for this position, then we would very much like to hear from you.

Your new school

Greengates Primary Academy is a 1 form entry school on the Leeds Bradford border. Our children are amazing, and we are a team of enthusiastic, passionate and caring staff, who are welcoming, friendly and keen to support and develop any new comers to our family.

Our staff are talented and enthusiastic and have all contributed to the academy’s success story. We also have access to a staff benefits scheme. At Greengates Primary Academy we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

We seek staff that are committed to improving the life chances of every single child in the academy by striving to ensure that they reach the highest possible standards.

Why join us?
Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust’s success story.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high-performing multi academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants.
