The Role

We are looking for an experienced Security Systems Engineer with strong knowledge of Access Control, Intruder Alarm and CCTV systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of security systems across our residential and commercial client base. You will be expected to work independently, manage your own workload, and deliver excellent customer service at every visit.

Whilst the primary focus of this role is security systems, training and support will be provided on additional Fire & Security systems where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and fault-find on Access Control, Intruder Alarm and CCTV systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits in accordance with industry standards.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
  • Install, commission and upgrade security systems where required.
  • Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions with minimal downtime for clients.
  • Complete service reports, certification and associated documentation accurately.
  • Maintain company equipment, stock and tools.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, keeping them informed throughout works.
  • Attend manufacturer and industry training courses as required.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (paid in addition to salary).
  • Support wider Fire & Security operations when required.

Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • 3+ years' experience servicing and maintaining Access Control, Intruder Alarm and CCTV systems.
  • Proven fault-finding experience and ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple reactive and planned tasks.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A proactive and professional approach to work.
