Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to work in our central UKSS Finance team providing timely accurate and insightful information to HQ Accounting team and investors. You will be responsible in ensuring compliance to both statutory requirements and internal group accounting policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all accounting is accurate and compliant with local GAAP, IFRS, Coveris Accounting Manual and other group guidance procedures.
  • Meet all external reporting deadlines as established with the Group Accounting team
  • Lead the annual year-end statutory audit process, liaising with site team, group accounting team and the auditors to ensure all key deliverables are met.
  • Co-ordinate the year-end reporting packs and preparation of accounting schedules for the group as required by the group accounting / tax teams and auditors.
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements for all legal entities within the UK
  • Ensure all statutory filings are filed accurately and on time for all UK legal entities including consolidation of the ERP's that form each legal entity.
  • Build strong working relationships with the local site finance teams, assisting them with all accounting matters, reviews and queries
  • Assist the Accounting Director with the accounting for the UK Holding company and process all relevant items in Syspro in a timely and efficient manner - developing and utilising the ERP accordingly.
  • Review of monthly management account submissions for all sites and reconciliation to HFM outputs.
  • Become a FMIS Super-user for Fixed Asset and Leased Asset Modules ensuring that all IFRS16 related items are considered and processed in a timely manner
  • Review of key balance sheet control account reconciliations (monthly) for all UK sites

Qualifications

  • Qualified by experience and also professional / part qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience and ability to communicate with audit teams, statutory bodies and 3rd party advisors
  • Computer literate - Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commercial knowledge (desirable)
  • User and in depth experience of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) (desirable)
  • User and in depth experience of Syspro (desirable)
