Full job description

We’re looking for a detail-driven Finance Officer to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations and help keep Anglian Dental running smoothly.

Working closely with our Finance Controller and wider Operations team, you’ll manage customer and supplier accounts, oversee invoicing and payments, and make sure our cash flow stays healthy and accurate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to play an active role in a growing business.

What you’ll be doing

· Managing all customer invoicing, payment collections, and supplier transactions.

· Monitoring aged debt, conducting credit checks, and following up on overdue payments.

· Negotiating payment plans and liaising with solicitors or recovery partners when required.

· Processing supplier invoices and ensuring payments are made on time and in line with terms.

· Reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and resolving discrepancies quickly.

· Preparing regular financial reports, including aged debt and payment performance.

· Supporting the Finance Controller with monthly and year-end closings, audits, and management accounts.

· Identifying and implementing improvements to streamline and automate finance processes.

· Ensuring compliance with internal policies, VAT coding, and HMRC regulations.

About you

· Previous experience in a finance and accounts receivable/payable role.

· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and confidence working with data.

· Proficient in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar financial software.

· Knowledge of UK finance compliance (VAT, GDPR, HMRC regulations).

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

· Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

· A proactive mindset — confident handling deadlines, queries, and process improvements.

· AAT Level 3–4 (or equivalent experience) desirable.

Why Join Anglian Dental?

We’ve been supporting dental practices for over 30 years, with a reputation built on quality, service, and reliability. With over 700 practices already relying on us, and more joining every month, this is a fantastic time to become part of a team that’s growing fast.

We’re on a mission to become a one-stop-shop for dental surgery creation and maintenance, and we know that getting there starts with our people.

What we offer

· Competitive salary with structured annual reviews and profit related bonus scheme

· Hybrid working options

· A collaborative, people-focused environment where your ideas make a difference.
