Xtreme Scream Park in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire are now recruiting everyday people from all walks of lives that want to get paid for scaring others!

You don't need to be an actor or have any previous experience all you need is to be committed, keen to learn and happy to wear a costume, mask & makeup! We will teach you all the tricks so you can enjoy making people jump, scream and laugh over and over again!

Key roles we are recruiting for:
Intimidator / Aggressor - Take on roles like vicious criminals and authoritive prison officers. You are loud, commanding, confident with short scripts and can portray emotions like anger, rage or domination to create fear. General play age 30+

Animal/Physical Full Head Mask Performers - Individuals with excellent physicality to portray animals. Could you be the next Circus clapping monkey, the disgusting comedic toad, the bloodthirsty bat or the creepy doll? Some roles may include wearing warm costumes such as full fake fur and professional silicone masks that completely incase your head and limit visibility. General play age 18 +

Strong Character Performers - Working as a flexi scarer, you are quick to portray a whole range of characters. Confident with lengthily lines, scripts and the ability to improvise. You can rapidly pick up and showcase a variety and range of characters, covering key major character roles on the evenings the main cast member is off. Prior acting experience or a background in performing arts is an advantage but not essential. General play age 25 - 45. Some specific roles requiring cover are a playing age 55 -65.

ActorMatronic Puppeteers - You are completely behind the scenes and operating a giant puppet with sound fx/light and movement for a fright. Please note, these are physically demanding roles. Applicants should have good spatial awareness, timing and control. A reasonable level of strength is required to push the puppet forward on a track and pull back to retreat. No minimum playing age.

Airbourne Division - Performers wearing a harness and working at height. This is a specialist role with additional health and safety requirements and training provided. Some roles include a bungee line attachment. Performers must be in excellent physical condition. Minimum playing age 18+

Note on play age - this is the general minimum starting age for our range of character roles remaining. You do not need to be the age listed, but you should be convincing to the audience that your character is of their playing age.

Pay Rate - National Minimum Wage. Please refer to the government website for how much we owe you per hour.

Hours - Approx 5 hours per evening. 18 evenings across October/November. Sign up to work as many nights as you are available for!

Sign in from - 6:00pm. Attractions open 6:45pm (earlier on peak nights)
Finish Time - Approximately between 10:30pm - 11:30pm

Please note that our attractions contain loud noises, smoke fx, flashing lights, small spaces and uneven floors. If you are sensitive to any of these elements or have a nervous disposition, please do not apply.

Applicants must be aged 17+

Travel and accommodation expenses are NOT included. Please do not apply if you are unable to cover these costs yourself. Access to own vehicle is recommended due to remote location.
