- Managing employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management
- Supporting managers with performance management and coaching
- Managing recruitment, onboarding and induction activity
- Coordinating temporary labour requirements with external suppliers
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Identifying training and development needs across the business
- Supporting succession planning and employee development initiatives
- Monitoring HR metrics including absence, turnover and headcount
- Managing internal communications and company updates
- Preparing and managing the HR budget
- Ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and company policies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous HR Manager or senior HR generalist experience
- Experience working within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment
- Strong employee relations knowledge and experience
- The confidence to build credibility across all levels of the business
- Experience supporting both blue and white collar workforces
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
- Good HR systems and Microsoft Office skills
- A proactive, practical and hands-on approach
- The ability to work autonomously within a standalone role
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Hybrid working policy available, although the role is predominantly site-based
- Opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business
Working Hours
Monday to Friday.
Typical working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, although some flexibility is required to support operational needs.
