About the Role

Parkway Dentalcare is seeking an experienced and highly organised Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care while playing a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the practice. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our appointment diaries, proactively manage clinician schedules, and help maximise diary utilisation through effective planning and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all patients.
  • Managing patient enquiries both face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Proactively managing and optimising clinicians' diaries to ensure efficient appointment utilisation.
  • Allocating dedicated time each week to review, maintain, and improve diary management, recalls, and outstanding appointments.
  • Booking and amending appointments using our practice management software.
  • Managing patient recalls and treatment follow-ups.
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Supporting the clinical team and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
  • Following practice procedures and maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience proactively managing appointment diaries and maximising chair utilisation.
  • A positive, patient-focused attitude and a professional manner.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience with Dentally software would be advantageous, although training can be provided.

Working Hours

Monday: 08:00 – 17:30
Tuesday: 08:00 – 19:30
Wednesday: 08:00 – 17:30
Thursday: 08:00 – 17:30
Friday: 08:00 – 17:30

(1-hour lunch break daily between 13:00 – 14:00)

Total Hours: 44.5 per week
