Your Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Field Manager, you will be expected to:
  • Lead team and perform Aerial cabling on Openreach poles and ASN Installation on Openreach Poles.
  • Perform splicing and testing.
  • Leading the whole team
  • Give practical demos to new recruits to help them learn the right way.
  • Lead the team and perform Rod and Rope, Sub-ducting, Fibre cable pulling and Fibre Blowing.
  • Physically fit, able to cope with performing ground works activities and cable pulling
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
  • Travel would be required to different cities as our project location changes all the time. The company will provide accommodation for the night stay.
  • Driving Van to work location
  • Reporting progress daily according to project processes
  • Reading Network Maps and drawings
  • Processing of required paperwork.
  • Take ownership of work orders and report daily progress
  • Liaise with team and clients
  • Long working shifts in the field with overtime or incentive options based on productivity
  • Take proper measures to ensure everyone is safe during work.
  • Report as soon as possible if anything is obstructing the work.
  • Keep the team motivated and be a good example for them.
  • Highlight issues to management that can affect the work or team.
  • Should be ready to teach new joiners in the company.
  • Is proactive in helping the team if any help is required.

The Requirements:

  • Worked with project managers to complete network build & installations to specific deadlines.
  • Completed inspections to ascertain whether anything is preventing a successful installation.
  • Worked with design schematics and works instructions.
  • Fibre cable pulling experience in BT Openreach ducts, especially with fibre optics cable
  • Fibre Blowing experience
  • Have a minimum of 6 months to 3 years of the UK Fibre network side experience of overhead and underground cabling on BT Openreach network
  • Hold a current trade card (CSCS/EUSR) (If you do not have the required accreditation, we will coach, provide mentor to you and will support you in achieving required accreditations.)
  • Should be willing to work extra including night work and weekends
  • Willing to work within distinct locations throughout the UK (night stays)
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure paying good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative, self-manage workload without supervision
  • Essential computer skills
  • Van driving experience and a full UK driving license with not more than 6 points
