A growing AV and smart home integration business is looking to add an experienced Installer to its team, delivering high quality projects across both residential and commercial environments.
This role is open to engineers from either side of the industry. Whether you come from high end smart homes or corporate AV installations, the business is happy to build around your experience. They could even take an Engineer with a background in Satellites and Aerials.
You'll be working on a mix of projects including smart homes, meeting spaces, and integrated AV systems, with a strong focus on clean, well delivered installations.
The Role
You will take ownership of on site installation work across a range of AV and smart home systems.
Typical responsibilities include:
- First and second fix cabling and containment
- Installation of AV systems including TVs, audio and video conferencing setups
- Smart home installation including Control4 and Lutron (desirable)
- Rack building, wiring, labelling and cable management
- Networking, WiFi setup and basic configuration
- On site fault finding, testing and commissioning support
- Delivering high standard installations in both residential and commercial environments
This is a hands on role where quality of install matters.
What They Are Looking For
- Experience as an AV Installer, AV Engineer or Smart Home Installer
- Background in either residential AV (Control4, Lutron), commercial AV (VC, structured cabling, networking) or Satellites and Aerials installs.
- Strong knowledge of cabling, containment and AV infrastructure
- Comfortable using a laptop for system checks and setup
- High attention to detail and pride in installation quality
- Able to work independently and manage time on site
- Full UK driving licence
Package
- Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
- Company van (after probation)
- Tools and equipment provided
- Pension and holiday entitlement
- Ongoing training and development
- Exposure to high end residential and commercial projects
- Supportive team environment with clear progression
Why This Role
This is a solid opportunity for an installer who wants more variety and better projects.
You're not locked into one type of work. You'll gain exposure across both smart home and commercial AV, building a broader skillset while working on higher quality installs.
