Job role
We are a Maidstone-based family-run company seeking a TV/satellite installation engineer. The role involves visiting the homes of new and existing Sky customers on communal systems to install or upgrade Sky TV.
A working knowledge of IRS systems and CCTV would be highly advantageous, as other opportunities within this field are also available.
Duties and responsibilities
Installation of Sky TV in domestic properties for new and existing Sky customers. Connections will be made to existing communal IRS systems and then the set top box will be installed. The successful candidate will able to identify the customer’s subscriber feed at the head end location and enable the feed for Sky TV, installing and using any necessary cables, adaptors, switches or power supplies to complete the installation.
The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of IRS and CCTV.
We are a business with national coverage, therefore, countrywide travel will be expected, as well as some overnight stays. Company vehicle, major tools and uniform will be supplied.
Skills and Experience
Essential to have previous experience of satellite TV installations on an individual dish or communal system, using dSCR or dCSS multiswitches and then be able to complete set top box installations.
Preferred experience of IRS systems and CCTV.
Previous experience of working at height advantageous but professional training will be provided.
Essential to be comfortable in both lone working and working as part of a team.
Full clean UK driving license and clear DBS certificate within the last 2 years.

Location
Due to our work commitments the right candidate must live in and around the South East of England, or being willing to relocate. Kent being the preferred area, but surrounding counties considered.
