Full job description

We are seeking experienced Pre-Enablement Engineers to join our growing telecommunications team, working on the CityFibre network. This role is responsible for preparing properties and network infrastructure ahead of customer installations, ensuring the network is fully operational and ready for service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out pre-enablement activities across the CityFibre fibre network.
  • Complete network checks and identify faults, loss of light, and network issues.
  • Prepare customer connection routes and infrastructure for future installations.
  • Conduct fibre splicing, testing, and fault-finding activities where required.
  • Complete aerial and underground pre-enablement works in accordance with CityFibre standards.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Capture and upload all required job evidence, photographs, and testing results.
  • Accurately update work management systems and complete job closure documentation.
  • Work closely with installation teams, supervisors, and network operations teams to resolve issues and ensure successful customer installations.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and testing equipment to a high standard.
  • Deliver excellent customer service whilst working in residential and business environments.

You Will Need

  • Proven experience doing pre-enablement on the telecoms network.
  • Strong understanding of FTTP network architecture.
  • Knowledge of both aerial and underground network infrastructure.
  • NRSWA accreditation (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Right to work in the UK.
