Regional Telecoms Engineer - Based in the North / North East
Orbital Internet Group is an Award winning and leading provider in the telecoms industry that has been in operation for over 20 years.
We take immense pride in the services we deliver, including our in-house designed WiMAX wireless solution and bespoke Holiday Park Connectivity options.
Despite the way the world has changed in the past 18 months we have seen fantastic growth and demand for our services. From clients working from home, businesses changing the way they work and the popularity of holidaying in the UK, we have been there to make sure our clients can adapt to these situations and grow.
We have big plans to bring pure fibre internet services to thousands of residents and businesses across Kent, utilising our Vfast and Orbital Net brands.
With this growth and the amazing opportunities we have in front of us we see exciting times ahead, and we are now looking for someone dynamic to be part of that.
The right candidate will be based around the UK working in a Regional area and available to potentially to work away 2 weeks of the Month when required.
The job is field based. A clean driving license is essential.
No experience needed, however to apply for this role you will be practical, organised, motivated, articulate, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail. The willingness to learn new things and embrace technologies used within the company will greatly help you with further progression, complemented by the ability to complete tasks under minimal supervision.

A fully equipped clean company van will be provided on completion of trial period for the right candidates.

- Previous experience working in a similar role, for other telecommunication companies or satellite based installers, would of course be advantageous.
- An understanding of wireless technologies and the radio spectrum will be required
- Experience in routing cables, mounting aerials, poles and brackets will be required.
These should include:
- Confident Working at Heights
- Experience Working with Ladders
- Experience of using Safety Equipment
- Good Knowledge of using PC/Laptop & Software Packages
- Field / Site based H&S understanding
- Use of power tools and all associated hand tools required for the type of role
All tools and equipment will also be provided to perform the role.

- Day shift on site for 9am – 5.30
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
