Wiring Technician / Electrician

RP Motorhomes is specialist Motorhome convertor business based in Yeadon, near Leeds & Bradford Airport. A unique and exciting position has become available due to the increase of our workload, and we are looking for a new member of our team. We are a growing business, converting Mercedes Benz panel vans into luxury motorhomes and we are looking for an individual with drive and determination who can work in our fast-paced environment.

The main duties and skills required of Auto Electrical Engineer will include:

·Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams

The installation of 12V wiring and carrying out testing

· Making wiring looms and various components ready for fitting

· Installation of components such as the installation of lithium battery systems, heaters, aerials, satellite systems, solar panels and lighting.

· Carrying out Motorhome electrical repairs

Installing, removing, fitting, and upgrading interior and exterior parts.

Experience gained in a relevant automotive environment such as an independent garage, main dealership, or aftermarket service provider is also a massive advantage.

· Attention to detail and methodical worker

· Excellent time management and time keeping

· Flexibility and be able to multi-task within the working environment

· Consistency in producing a quality product

· The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a motorhome/ caravan workshop or manufacturer environment, although this is not essential

Desirable Qualifications:

City & Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (OR equivalent)

· City & Guilds 2391 or 2395 – Inspection and Testing

· City & Guilds BS7671 18th Edition

· City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 – Electrical Installation

This position is full time (38 hours PW) and permanent upon completion of a successful 3-month probationary period. A full driving licence is required. Salary is negotiable with competent and experienced persons encouraged to apply as the salary will be dependent on skills and ability. Hours detailed below (with flexibility required during busy periods for additional hours which will involve some weekends).

Hours

Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.15pm

Friday 7.30 – 1.30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
