Geospatial Surveyor

Field-Based (UK Travel Required, including overnight stays)

Sky Revolutions is a specialist drone and data company supporting construction and infrastructure projects across the UK. We deliver surveying, drone, and monitoring services that improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making for our clients.

The Opportunity

Sky Revolutions is looking for an experienced Geospatial Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality survey work across construction and infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on role combining site-based data capture with processing and production of accurate outputs. You will be responsible for delivering survey work in line with specifications, ensuring outputs are accurate, well-prepared, and completed within agreed deadlines.

While we utilise drone technology within our services, this role is built on strong traditional surveying capability, with full training provided in drone-based methods where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver geospatial survey work including topographic surveys, setting out, measured building surveys, and construction monitoring
  • Operate survey equipment including GNSS and total stations to capture accurate site data
  • Use laser scanning equipment where required to capture point cloud data
  • Process survey data into accurate deliverables, including drawings, point clouds, models, and reports
  • Carry out quality checks before issuing outputs
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors to confirm requirements and resolve queries
  • Identify and report discrepancies, clashes, or risks on-site
  • Support the office with technical input for quotes and project planning
  • Ensure all work follows Works Orders, specifications, and internal systems
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety and RAMS compliance
  • Capture data using drone photogrammetry where required (training provided)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in geospatial surveying and setting out using traditional methods (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of GNSS and total stations
  • Experience working on construction or infrastructure sites
  • Ability to process survey data into accurate deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload
  • Good communication skills with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence

Drone surveying or photogrammetry experience is not required. Full training will be provided.

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate survey delivery with minimal rework or client queries
  • High-quality outputs aligned to project specifications
  • Reliable delivery against agreed deadlines
  • Strong on-site communication and professionalism
  • Consistent adherence to safety and company processes
  • Development into additional survey technologies, including drone-based methods
