Full job description

Transformation Programme Leader - up to £100k - Chester, Cheshire

Ready to build something that truly changes how a business performs?

We’re looking for an exceptional Transformation Programme Leader to lead capability, performance and organisational readiness during a major business transformation.

This is an opportunity to shape how a growing technology organisation develops its people, embeds new ways of working, and creates the capabilities needed to support ambitious commercial growth.

You’ll sit at the heart of a transformation programme, partnering with senior leaders across Commercial, Operations and Technology to ensure teams are equipped, aligned and ready to deliver.

If you enjoy turning strategy into action, influencing at executive level and creating measurable business impact through people, this could be the perfect next step.

The opportunity:

You’ll design and lead a business-wide capability strategy that supports growth, transformation and operational excellence.

You’ll create the frameworks, standards and development pathways that help people succeed while ensuring capability development is directly linked to business outcomes.

Success in this role is measured by adoption, performance improvement, workforce readiness and business results.

What you’ll be doing

Setting the direction:

  • Develop and lead the organisation’s enablement and capability strategy
  • Create capability roadmaps aligned to business objectives and transformation milestones
  • Identify capability gaps and future workforce requirements
  • Define what “role-ready” looks like across different levels and functions
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on organisational effectiveness and workforce readiness
  • Building capability across the business
  • Design a scalable enablement framework that supports commercial, operational and technical teams
  • Create structured development journeys for new hires, role transitions and organisational change
  • Embed cross-functional understanding and collaboration across departments
  • Ensure capability development becomes part of everyday business performance rather than a standalone activity
  • Leading change and transformation
  • Drive organisational development initiatives that improve effectiveness and performance
  • Support transformation, operating model changes and business integration programmes
  • Partner with senior leaders to accelerate adoption of new behaviours, processes and ways of working
  • Build alignment across multiple functions while maintaining consistent standards

Measuring impact

  • Develop meaningful measures of success, including adoption, productivity, capability maturity and performance outcomes
  • Track and report business impact to executive leadership teams
  • Use data and insight to continuously improve capability initiatives
  • Demonstrate clear return on investment from enablement activity

About you:

You’ll be an experienced leader who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery.

You understand that successful transformation happens through people, capability and behaviour change—not just process redesign.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in organisational development, capability building, enablement, workforce strategy or learning transformation
  • A proven track record of leading large-scale business transformation initiatives
  • Experience working across commercial, operational and technical functions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and executives
  • Experience operating within complex, fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to link people initiatives directly to business outcomes
  • Experience supporting organisational redesign, integration or operating model change
  • You’ll thrive here if you…
  • Think strategically but enjoy getting things done
  • Build solutions around outcomes rather than activity
  • Love solving complex organisational challenges
  • Are comfortable influencing without direct authority
  • Use data and evidence to support decisions
  • Enjoy bringing people together around a shared visionWhy join?

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future capability of an organisation undergoing significant transformation and growth.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, influence strategic decisions, and leave a lasting legacy on how the business develops its people, delivers performance and achieves its ambitions.

If you’re excited by transformation, capability building and creating measurable impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help build the organisation of tomorrow.

Pay: Up to £100,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • On-site parking
