About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Scrum Master roles supporting agile transformation and delivery across technology, engineering and digital initiatives. Roles of this type sit within collaborative, fast-paced environments where you would facilitate team performance, remove blockers and help drive the adoption of agile practices across workstreams.

The work could involve partnering with product owners, development teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery cadence, manage sprint ceremonies and coach teams toward continuous improvement. You could have scope to influence delivery performance, support teams through agile adoption and contribute to raising standards across multiple projects or programmes.

Typical role overview

  • Location: Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds or nationwide UK
  • Type: Contract · Full-time
  • Day Rate: £250–280 per day (or £380–450 per day, dependent on experience and seniority)
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Facilitating agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives and backlog refinement
  • Removing blockers and impediments to keep delivery moving forward
  • Coaching teams on agile practices, scrum processes and continuous improvement
  • Supporting multi-workstream coordination and sprint delivery performance
  • Collaborating with product owners on user story creation, backlog prioritisation and stakeholder communication
  • Reporting on sprint metrics, delivery progress and team health to stakeholders
  • Contributing to programme governance, risk and issue management within agile environments
  • Supporting agile adoption and helping teams transition from traditional to agile delivery models

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or equivalent agile coaching role
  • Strong knowledge of agile frameworks, ceremonies and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate team collaboration and remove delivery blockers
  • Experience coaching teams on agile adoption and process improvement
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with sprint delivery, backlog management and delivery metrics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in software development, project delivery or IT

Nice-to-have experience could include:

  • Formal Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM)
  • Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems or microservices architectures
  • Exposure to SAP environments, data pipelines or modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience scaling agile across multiple teams or programmes
  • Familiarity with BPMN, UML or other process modelling approaches
