Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Estate Worker to join our team in maintaining and caring for a rural estate near Derby. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of general estate maintenance and forestry and possess the necessary skills to ensure the estate is kept in good condition.

Responsibilities
- Undertake general maintenance for example fencing and strimming/spraying tasks to preserve the estate's appearance and functionality
- Care for young woodlands on the estate, ensuring their health
- Gutter clearing and maintenance on tenanted gardens
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as chainsaws and mechanical equipment for various maintenance tasks
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Perform equipment services as needed to keep machinery operational
- Have a valid driving licence, as driving will be necessary including the use of a tractor and mule.
- Engage in heavy lifting activities to move equipment and materials around the estate

Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Experience in woodland management, hedge laying and agricultural labour
- Familiarity/certificates for use of power tools and maintenance work
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Competence in using hand tools for detailed tasks
- Ability to perform equipment repairs when necessary
- Capability for heavy lifting tasks to move equipment and materials
