Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Time-Critical Delivery Solutions is responsible for the commercial growth, network development, and performance management of time-critical delivery solutions within the assigned region(s). The role owns the end-to-end commercial agenda, ensuring profitable growth through effective market expansion, customer acquisition, capacity optimization, and cross-functional execution in a highly time-sensitive environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Own and drive revenue, margin, and growth targets for time-critical delivery solutions.
- Develop and execute commercial and go-to-market strategies for time-critical logistics offerings.
- Build and evaluate business cases for new products, lanes, and capacity models.
- Design, develop, and optimize time-critical delivery networks to meet SLA, cost, and service requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost efficiency, utilization, and network performance.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations, pricing structures, and contractual agreements.
- Build long-term customer relationships, positioning DHL as a trusted partner for urgent and time-sensitive logistics solutions.
- Ensure customer requirements are translated into scalable and operationally viable solutions.
- Maintain end-to-end accountability for service quality and delivery performance.
- Translate performance insights into tactical and strategic actions.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Transport, Finance, and External Partners to ensure alignment.
- Provide leadership and direction across cross-functional teams supporting time-critical delivery solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in time-critical logistics, express delivery, air freight, charter, or premium transport solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and margin targets within time-critical or premium logistics environments.
- Strong commercial ownership, including revenue growth and margin management.
- Experience in stakeholder management and complex commercial negotiations.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, SLA-driven environments.
