Job Title: Windscreen Technician
Location: Onsite – UK Nationwide
Company: FixGlass Ltd (fix.glass)

Salary: £40,000 –£50,000 with overtime up to £70,000 per annum (maximum earnings with overtime; base salary is t£40,000 –£50,000 for competent professional)

We are hiring mobile windscreen technicians across the UK!
Join our growing team as we expand nationwide.

Self-employed, subcontractor, part-time, and fully employed positions available.

The Role

  • Replace windscreens and door glass at customer locations in your area
  • Occasionally assist in the workshop
  • Maintain high-quality standards
  • Drive - a lot!

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Valid UK/EU driving licence
  • Clear criminal record
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

For Full-Time Positions

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Overtime paid at 50% extra per hour

Compensation & Benefits

Daily Workload & Overtime

Unpaid Commuting Time 1-hour travel between your home and your first job or supplier of the day (and 1-hour from your last job back home) is unpaid commuting time.

Example: If your first customer or supplier is one hour away, you would start driving at 7:00 AM to arrive by 8:00 AM.

Daily Schedule & Extra Pay Some days you’ll complete 5–6 jobs with short drives and finish by 5:00 PM, then drive home (usually 1 hour or less, depending on location). If your drive home exceeds 1 hour, we pay extra for that time. Other days may involve 2–3 jobs with longer travel times, still finishing by 5:00 PM. Occasionally, you may need to handle 2 far-travel jobs.

Any job that finishes after 5:00 PM and is accepted by you will be paid as overtime at 50% extra per hour.
Weekends 50% extra per hour.
