Company: Eco Home Air Ltd
Job type: Self-employed / subcontractor
Pay: £650–£1,200 per installation job, depending on the number of units

Eco Home Air is looking for experienced, reliable installers to fit UNICO EVO 30 HP EVANX monobloc air conditioning units in customers’ homes.

We’re looking for practical people who take pride in their workmanship, communicate professionally with customers and leave every property clean and tidy.

Installation rates

  • 1 monobloc unit: £650
  • 2 monobloc units: £1,000 total
  • 3 monobloc units: £1,200 total

These are total payments per completed installation job, based on the number of units fitted at the property.

Your duties will include:

  • Checking the agreed installation position and preparing the work area.
  • Core drilling 202mm holes through external walls.
  • Fitting wall brackets and securely mounting the units.
  • Installing associated ducts, external grilles and drainage where required.
  • Removing existing radiators on some jobs, including isolating, draining and safely capping pipework where required.
  • Completing electrical connections within your qualifications and competence, working with a suitably qualified electrician where necessary.
  • Sealing penetrations and making good around the installation and any radiator removal.
  • Testing the units and showing customers the basic controls.
  • Protecting customers’ homes, clearing installation waste and leaving the work area tidy.
  • Providing clear photographs of completed installations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in air conditioning installation, ventilation, core drilling or a closely related trade.
  • Confidence drilling through different wall types and securely fitting heavy equipment.
  • Plumbing experience, particularly radiator removal and capping pipework, would be an advantage.
  • A high standard of finishing and attention to detail.
  • A reliable, professional approach and good customer service.
  • Suitable tools, transport and the ability to travel to customers’ properties.
  • Relevant qualifications for any electrical work undertaken.

Previous experience installing UNICO or similar monobloc systems would be an advantage.
