Air Conditioning Sales Representative
Location: Exeter & surrounding areas
Role: Air Conditioning Sales Representative

About the Role

Frost Air Conditioning is looking for a confident and motivated Air Conditioning Sales Representative to help grow our domestic and commercial air conditioning business.

The role will involve responding to enquiries, speaking with prospective customers, arranging site visits, assessing their requirements and recommending suitable air conditioning systems.

You will be responsible for taking customers from their initial enquiry through to an agreed installation, providing a professional and straightforward service throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to new air conditioning enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, email and social media.
  • Contact and follow up potential customers and outstanding quotations.
  • Arrange and attend site surveys.
  • Discuss customers' cooling and heating requirements.
  • Measure rooms and gather the information required to correctly size systems.
  • Recommend suitable single-split and multi-split air conditioning systems.
  • Explain the differences between brands and systems including Hitachi, Haier, Samsung, Daikin and Mitsubishi.
  • Identify suitable indoor and outdoor unit positions.
  • Consider pipe routes, condensate drainage, electrical supplies and access requirements.
  • Take photographs and accurate notes for the installation team.
  • Prepare or provide the information required for customer quotations.
  • Present quotations and explain the proposed installation.
  • Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed installations.
  • Upsell multi-room systems and additional units where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, surveys, quotations and confirmed jobs.
  • Build relationships with homeowners, landlords, property managers and commercial customers.
  • Look for opportunities to generate new business and referrals.

What We're Looking For

Previous air conditioning experience would be beneficial but isn't essential if you have strong sales ability and are willing to learn.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident speaking with customers.
  • Have good sales and negotiation skills.
  • Be comfortable attending customers' homes and businesses.
  • Be organised and reliable.
  • Have good basic technical and measuring skills.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Have good written communication skills.
  • Be comfortable using WhatsApp, email and online quoting/CRM systems.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Full product and system training can be provided.

Pay: £25,420.00-£54,520.00 per year
