Full job description

About us

Do you want to help us shape how we do AC in our business? Are you good enough to be a bit of an 'AC all-rounder'?

We would love to chat to talented AC engineers who want an opportunity to be 'in at the beginning' and help us and grow our AC business across the North West. You'll be delivering your magic to get reactive and pre-planned maintenance work done for our customers. If you fit the bill, this is a fantastic chance to build a very well rewarded, long-standing career at GOS with learning and development opportunities thrown in to help you get better at what you do.

The full package includes:

  • Salary of £42,000
  • Performance Related Bonus
  • Family orientated and discounts across our companies
  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote Working
  • 29 days annual leave increasing over years employment
  • Upskilling and ongoing training provided
  • Company Vehicle
  • Company Tablet
  • Branded workwear provided
  • Pension Scheme

What will I be doing?

Obviously, you'll need to know quite a lot about air conditioning systems so experience in these areas is essential:

- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning units
- Repair or replace defective parts in air conditioning systems
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure proper installation and repair of equipment
- Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of air conditioning (Electrical and
mechanical services)
- Test and adjust system performance using specialised tools and equipment
- Provide leadership and guidance to our learners

What sort of person will you be?

You've got to have the right values and behaviours to work for GOS so honesty, humility and a drive to succeed will define you. You will need to be positive, a self-starter, a great communicator, literate and numerate, and well organised. You must have a suitable mechanical and technical background but we are firm believers in cognitive diversity, so if you believe you have a reasonably thorough understanding of the discipline but have something unique and valuable to bring to the party, we’d very much like to hear from you. It could well be your left-field approach that makes you a success and opens up additional opportunities.

Contact Mick Heap (Business Manager) on 07540 768 995 for an informal chat about the role.
