Refrigeration Engineer – CO2 Training Provided

Want to take the next step into CO2 refrigeration?

If you’re already a strong Refrigeration Engineer with supermarket, retail or commercial refrigeration experience, but haven’t yet had the opportunity to work on CO2 systems, this could be the step you’ve been waiting for.

We’re recruiting for a well-established national engineering business that is happy to invest in experienced refrigeration engineers and provide CO2 training for the right candidate.

You don’t need to already be a CO2 specialist. They’re looking for good refrigeration engineers with strong fault-finding skills, the right attitude and a genuine interest in developing further.

Salary: Up to £49,000
Travel: All travel paid door-to-door
Hours: Monday-Friday – flexible start/finish
Call-Out: 1 in 5
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Van & Fuel Card: Provided – private use allowed

The Role

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll:

  • Carry out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance
  • Fault find and repair commercial refrigeration systems
  • Attend breakdowns across retail and supermarket sites
  • Complete repairs, minor installations and small works
  • Maintain a range of commercial refrigeration equipment
  • Work to agreed SLA response times
  • Participate in a 1 in 5 call-out rota
  • Develop your knowledge of CO2 refrigeration with training and support from the business

What We’re Looking For

The Refrigeration Engineer will need:

  • F-Gas certification
  • Strong commercial refrigeration experience
  • Supermarket, retail or similar refrigeration experience preferred
  • Good fault-finding and breakdown ability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CO? experience is welcome, but not required
  • A genuine interest in progressing into CO2 refrigeration

Package

  • Up to £49,000 basic
