We’re now looking for experienced and motivated Aircraft Detailers to join our team at Farnborough Airport.

For candidates with strong aviation detailing experience and previous leadership or supervisory experience, there is also the opportunity to join at Team Leader level, with salary positioned towards the higher end of the range depending on relevant experience.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same in this fast-paced airport environment. You’ll be responsible for:

· Transforming aircraft interiors to pristine, VIP-ready condition

· Washing, polishing and restoring aircraft exteriors

· Carrying out specialist treatments on paint, leather, carpets and protective coatings such as Xzilon

· Valeting company and customer vehicles

· Maintaining equipment and ensuring stock is available and ready for use

· Working safely at height and in confined spaces

· Following Health & Safety procedures, Risk Assessments and operational requirements

· Delivering consistently high standards that meet exacting client expectations

· Communicating professionally with aircraft crew, engineers and other on-site personnel

· Keeping company vehicles, vans, equipment and stock areas clean, organised and fully stocked

· Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the wider operation

For those joining with appropriate leadership experience, additional responsibilities may include:

· Coordinating the detailing team during the shift

· Allocating work and managing daily workloads

· Leading by example and supporting team members on the job

· Carrying out quality checks and final aircraft inspections

· Keeping Operations updated on job progress and completion

· Ensuring job documentation and completion reports are accurate

· Supporting the training, coaching and development of team members

· Helping to maintain high standards of safety, quality and team performance

· Identifying opportunities for additional services or bookings where appropriate

Candidates with previous supervisory or team leadership experience may be considered for the Team Leader opportunity, with salary towards the higher end of the £30,000–£35,000 band depending on experience.

Essential requirements

· Previous aircraft detailing, aviation, transport or professional valeting experience

· Full UK manual driving licence

· Right to work in the UK

· Valid ID/passport

· Ability to provide a 5-year checkable work history for airport security clearance

· Willingness to complete required training and background checks

· Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern within a 24/7 aviation environment

Desirable but not essential:

· Previous leadership or supervisory experience

· IPAF certification

· Previous private or business aviation experience
