HMSHost UK, part of the Avolta group is hiring at Stansted Airport for our Perch Bar & Sunnyside Cafe at £15.68 per hour!
We are looking for a warm and welcoming Team Leader to join our team at Stansted Airport across our two exciting concepts – our premium cocktail bar, Perch, and our vibrant all-day café, Sunnyside.
These are two separate Team Leader roles, with one position based in Perch and the other in Sunnyside.
Perch offers an innovative and inspirational food menu like no other, with a stylish cocktail bar ambience that sets the mood for guests travelling through the airport. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, indulge, and enjoy expertly crafted drinks.
Sunnyside, by contrast, brings a fresh, uplifting café experience, serving quality coffee, delicious food, and a bright, energetic atmosphere to help our guests start their journey on the right note.
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service, leading by example and supporting your team in a fast-paced airport environment. What is the Role?
As the Front of House Team Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of our front-of-house, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. You will lead and motivate a team whilst fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, promoting teamwork and high performance.
- Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their visit.
- Oversee reservations, seating arrangements, and the overall flow of service to maintain efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all front-of-house areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Due to airport flight schedules, our shift times vary. Our morning shifts can start as early as 3am and our late shifts can finish up to 11pm so you must ensure you are flexible to work one of these shift patterns. You will also be required to obtain a security pass to gain access airside at the restaurant, for this you will need to provide 5 year’s checkable referencing.
