Job Title: Gas Detection Installer
Location: Looking for people who live in Uttoxeter, Mansfield, Kirkby in Ashfield, Hucknall, Nottingham area (must be willing to travel and work away 95% of the time)
Contract Type: Permanent
Pay Rate:

• Starting Salary: £27,000 + pension contributions
• With overtime: Increased earnings potential as experience grows
• Additional: All expenses paid when working away (including accommodation, breakfast, evening meal, and a few pints!)

Hours: Full-time – must be willing to travel and work away 95% of the time

Join a growing specialist company in the electrical and gas detection industry, working on critical safety systems for commercial and industrial environments across the UK. We design and install fixed gas detection systems in sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, laboratories, and energy—helping businesses meet essential safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of gas detection transmitters, control panels, alarms, and associated cabling
• Working in diverse environments such as chemical plants, laboratories, universities, steelworks, and high-tech manufacturing sites
• Supporting a lead engineer during site installations across the UK
• Using hand and power tools with confidence and care
• Learning and applying technical drawings and installation guides
• Maintaining high safety and quality standards on all jobs
• Ensuring compliance with relevant site-specific protocols and safety requirements

Requirements:

• CSCS or ECS card – mandatory
• Clean UK driving licence – mandatory
• Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential
• Comfortable with the use of hand and power tools
• Some computer literacy is preferred
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home during the week
