About Us

CFS Systems is a small family run business offering fire safety and security solutions, who aim to always go the extra mile to make our employees feel valued and provide career development.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a number of full-time multi-disciplined fire & security installation engineers to cover the Northwest of England. Predominantly working with Fire systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder alarms; engineers will also have the opportunity to learn skills within EVC, nurse, warden call and emergency lighting systems.

We have a number of job roles available for installation engineers with varied experience and qualifications. To be the ideal candidate for these positions, you will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the below systems, with anything from 3 to 10 years of experience being desirable.

Main Duties:

Experience in installation work and be competent in the following disciplines:

  • Fire Alarms
  • Intruder Alarms
  • CCTV Systems
  • Access Control
  • Have a broad understanding of the fire & security industry

Responsible for:

  • Installation of a wide range of fire and security systems
  • Corrective fault finding and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems
  • Participating in the emergency call-out rota in the Northwest Region
  • Maintaining customer relationships and ensure a high level of service and communication is offered at all times
  • Effectively communicating with supervisors, admin, and management
  • Ensure all administration requirements are fulfilled and maintained accurately
  • Providing certification for serviced systems to comply with relevant British Standards
  • Ensuring yourself and colleagues comply with all health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining your vehicle and stock levels to ensure client demands are met
  • Attending training and site meetings when required


  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills – required to liaise with customers
  • You must be able to show you can manage your time and work without close supervision
  • Tackle any reasonable task in a positive manner
  • Work both independently and within a team when appropriate
  • Work swiftly and efficiently
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Good IT skills
  • A keen interest in problem solving and maintaining high standards

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the Fire & Security industry - Essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Fire & Security sector - Essential
  • A full clean driving licence and clear police checks/security screening - Essential
