This is an opportunity to join a growing technology business at the point where its field operation is being developed in-house.

Facewatch is bringing its field operation in-house and is looking for an Installation & Service Engineer to join the team. You will install, commission, maintain and support systems across customer sites throughout the UK.

The role combines practical installation with fault finding, technical problem solving and customer service. You will represent Facewatch on site and will be expected to deliver work to a consistently high standard.

We are looking for an engineer who takes pride in the finished installation. Work should be neat, equipment correctly positioned, cabling professionally installed and systems properly commissioned.

Just as importantly, customers should receive a professional, helpful and reliable service from the moment you arrive until the job is handed over.

Responsibilities:

Install IP CCTV cameras, brackets, junction boxes, PoE equipment, cabling and associated network hardware.

Configure and commission systems, optimise camera positioning and image quality, and ensure installations are ready for use.

Diagnose CCTV, network and hardware faults and complete remedial, maintenance and upgrade work.

Carry out site surveys, identify installation requirements and record accurate technical

information.

Complete job sheets, photographs, survey information and handover documentation accurately.

Communicate professionally with customers, explain work clearly and leave sites clean, tidy and operational.

What we’re looking for:

You will have practical experience installing and working with CCTV systems and be comfortable working independently on customer sites.

✓ Hands-on CCTV installation experience.

✓ Good understanding of PoE, IP networking and basic network configuration.

✓ Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and RJ45 termination.

✓ Confident using power tools and working with different substrates and fixings.

✓ Able to fault-find CCTV, network and hardware issues.

✓ Comfortable working at height and in live retail environments.

✓ Full UK driving licence.

✓ Professional approach to customers and colleagues.

✓ Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

Desirable experience:

Hikvision, Dahua, Axis or similar IP CCTV VLANs, DHCP and static IP configuration

Network switches

Access control, intruder alarms or ANPR

Structured cabling / low-voltage systems

Qualifications & training:

IPAF, PASMA, Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, First Aid, ECS or CSCS are useful.

They are not essential where practical experience is strong.
