Full job description

Argus fire and security are looking to expand our ever growing team with the addition of another Fire and Security Installation Engineer.

We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for an installation Engineer to join our team to providing a high standard of work on fire and security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background knowledge of the various fire and security systems on the market, experience in managing larger scale installations from start to finish and knowledge of the relevant regulations and codes of practice to ensure a compliant installation.

Responsibilities:
- To carry out first and second fix installations across a wide range of systems including Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms. Knowledge of the relevant standards and codes of practice will be required, in order to ensure the installations are fully compliant.
- Commissioning of newly installed systems and carry out hand overs and full demonstrations to the client.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork in line with the relevant standards and codes of practice.

- Perform fault finding and rectification, collaborating closely with other team members to solve issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering and management team to ensure profitable workflow.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies.
- Be part of an out of hours paid callout rota .

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as an Installation Engineer or similar role.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of the fire and security industry and the relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Knowledge and experience working with Fire/Intruder/Access and CCTV is a must. Candidates with extensive experience in some, but not all, categories will be considered.
- Customer oriented approach with good communication skills

- Planning and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: To be negotiated depending on experience.
