Full job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, skilled and experienced Junior Fire & Security System Installation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining fire alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security solutions for our clients. You will be working in high security systems in Solar farms nationwide and commercial installations in, and around London and surrounding counties.
Responsibilities:
- Install and commission fire alarm systems, including detectors, control panels, and notification devices, in accordance with BS 5839 standards and regulations.
- Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, recording equipment, and monitoring software, to meet client requirements.
- Install and maintain perimeter security systems in solar farms and renewable energy sites nationwide
- On-site safety checks in a portfolio of properties across London area.
- Install and integrate access control systems, including card readers, keypads, and biometric devices, to manage entry and exit points effectively.
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients during system installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales team members, and other engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Complete installation documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in installing and configuring Fire alarm systems (Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Gent), CCTV systems (Analogue and IP), and access control systems.
- Ideal candidate should live in West London area M25 (Richmond, Hounslow, Ealing, Heathrow) or surrounding areas (Slough, Windsor, Woking, Surbiton, Leatherhead, Cobham).
- Strong technical knowledge of fire and security system components, wiring, and installation techniques according to BS standards.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as BS 5839 and BS 7671.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client on national sites as required.
