Job Summary

Surrey Fire & Safety Ltd is a thriving and expanding fire safety company, offering the full suite of fire protection services to clients across London, Surrey and the Home Counties.

You will need a full UK driving licence and will undergo a DBS check if you are successful.

Experience is preferred but not essential as we are prepared to offer full training to a candidate who can demonstrate the right attitude and commitment to work, as well as good manual skills.

This role could suit an active retired person looking for a part time role or a more junior person looking to get into the fire safety industry.

  • Salary £28k min basic pro rata.
  • Company vehicle
  • Company mobile

  • This position will be part time (at least two days per week) or full time, depending on the applicant and their skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Weekly testing for fire alarm systems and emergency lighting for a portfolio of clients. For emergency lighting, this involves visiting sites and turning the emergency lighting on, recording any failed lights, then turning them off again. Fire alarm testing involves setting off a fire alarm system and then resetting it. Full training will be provided if necessary.
  • Completing the relevant paperwork and submitting to the office on a regular basis
  • Using a scheduling app on a mobile phone for planning and recording jobs
  • You will also be assisting the engineers with minor making-good tasks after installation works so some basic DIY skills may be helpful.

  • Clean, current driving license.
  • Neat and methodical.
  • Able to use phone apps.
